Access the FactoryTalk Linx RMCT

Once you have installed the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 Redundancy Module Configuration Tool (RMCT), you can launch the tool from the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 network browser.
If you use
FactoryTalk® Security
, you must have Open Device Configuration permission to access the tool. To configure Open Device Configuration permission, open
FactoryTalk® Administration Console
, and then go to System > Policies > Product Policies > FactoryTalk Linx > Feature Security.

To access the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 RMCT in the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 network browser, the Enable Device Configuration setting must be selected. To verify that this setting is selected, open the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 network browser, and then open Advanced Settings.

To access the
FactoryTalk® Linx
 RMCT, follow these steps.
  1. Launch the
    FactoryTalk® Linx
     network browser.
  2. Browse to your redundancy module.
  3. Right-click the redundancy module and select Device Configuration.
    IMPORTANT: If you cannot see the Device Configuration menu option, then the compatible version of the
    FactoryTalk® Linx
     RMCT is not installed. For more information, see Identify the RMCT Version.
