Reconfiguration

You can change axis parameters during runtime by sending a reconfiguration message instruction, depending on whether the axis is enabled (powered on) or disabled (powered off). You can also change axis parameters during runtime using the module properties in Studio 5000 Logix Designer application.

When an Axis is Enabled

Only the following axis parameters can be changed:
  • C:HoldCurrentPct

  • C:JogAccel
  • C:HomeTimeout
  • C:HomeSpeed

When an Axis is Disabled

If any of the following axis parameters are changed by sending a reconfiguration message instruction, the request is rejected.
