Connect to the EtherNet/IP Network
You can set the network address using one of these methods:
You must set the network address on the adapter for the adapter to operate on an EtherNet/IP network.
The following are adapter conditions in which you set the network address:
- Set the network address for the first time after it powers up in the out-of-box state.IMPORTANT:The adapter powers up in the out-of-box state the first time you install it.
- Change the IP address after it has been set.IMPORTANT:Verify that the network address for the adapter is not a duplicate of any existing devices on the network.
Requirements
To set the network address, have the following:
- The MAC ID that is located below the QR code on the adapter
- The recommended IP address for the adapter
