As manufacturers work to address their hiring needs and cultivate leadership for their organizations' future, what strategies can help ensure that women are represented in the hiring and promotion pools?
And what are some of the keys to fostering a culture of inclusion — one that supports retention of female employees and elevation of innovative women leaders?
Plant Services and its parent company, Putman Media, have announced the inaugural class of Influential Women in Manufacturing (PDF).
They launched Influential Women in Manufacturing at the beginning of 2018 to recognize women who are effecting change in manufacturing and industrial production. Against a backdrop of critical shifts in business models, process management and workforce roles, they sought to spotlight women who are leading the charge to spur change in what gets done and how in manufacturing organizations today.
The 22 women profiled here, including Linda Freeman, business development manager, Rockwell Automation, were nominated by their peers in industry and voted as IWiM by an eight-member team of Putman editors.
