, refresh the information model. Refreshing the model ensures that model information match in both
Studio 5000 Logix Designer
 and
Studio 5000 Smart Object Configurator
.
TIP:
  • If the safety controller lock is enabled, the SOC fails to update the controller. The workaround is to unlock it to refresh the model.
  • If the safety controller is signed, remove the signature before editing Smart Objects (resigning a controller can invalidate any safety network associated with that signature).
To refresh a model
  1. Make changes in
    Studio 5000 Logix Designer
    .
  2. In
    Studio 5000 Smart Object Configurator
    , select
    Refresh information model
    .
