Browse user-defined data types

Browse user-defined data types to review the list of created UDTs and their details: list of members, member types and the structure.
TIP:
In this release UDTs are read-only and reflect UDTs configured in
Studio 5000 Logix Designer
. Use
Studio 5000 Logix Designer
 to make changes to UDTs. After editing UDT tag structure in
Studio 5000 Logix Designer
 delete the following and create a new UDT Smart Object.
  • Delete UDT tags from Parameters and Local Tag
  • Delete UDT block from program rung
  • Delete from Add-On Instruction file raS_UDT
This is required to recalculate the size of UDT Smart Object.
To browse user-defined data types
  1. In
    Studio 5000 Logix Designer
    , create an a user-defined data type.
  2. In
    Studio 5000 Smart Object Configurator
    , select
    Configure UDTs
    .
  3. Select
    Refresh information model
     to see the new user-defined data type.
  4. Select the new user-defined data type.
  5. Review the contents of the user-defined data type.
