Configure the Sequence Summary Control
To configure the
Sequence Summary Control
to communicate with a controller or to use VBA, you need to customize several settings in the Property Panel
for the control. You can also customize display options.Prerequisites
- Open theFactoryTalk ViewSite Edition (SE) application.
- Open a display that contains theSequence Summary Control.
To configure the Sequence Summary Control to communicate with a controller
- In the display window, right-click theSequence Summary Control.
- SelectProperty Panel.
- Select theConnectionstab.
- In theControllerPathproperty text box, enter the FactoryTalk Linx Harmony path for the controller.For example:AB_ETH-1\99.99.99.99\Backplane\0
- In theControllerShortcutproperty text box, enter the FactoryTalk Linx device shortcut name to the controller.
- In theDataServerPathproperty text box, enter the FactoryTalk path to the FactoryTalk Linx data server. This can be a relative path or an RNA pathFor example:MyProject/MyArea/- or -RNA://$Local/MyProject
- In theSeqMgrServerPortNumberproperty text box, enter the port number that was defined during the installation of theSequenceManagerServer service and the ActiveX controls. Default value is 7452.
- Close theProperty Panelwindow.
- SelectSave.
To configure the Sequence Summary Control to use VBA
- Right click theSequence Summary Controlin the display window.
- SelectProperty Panel.
- In theExposeToVBAproperty text box, selectVBA Controlto allow the Sequence Detail Control to use VBA for scripting.
- Close theProperty Panelwindow.
- SelectSave.
To configure the Sequence Summary Control display options
- Right click theSequence Summary Controlin the display window.
- SelectProperty Panel.
- Select optional display options.
- (optional) In theColumn1Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn2Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn3Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn4Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn5Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn6Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theColumn7Contentproperty text box, select a content option for the column.
- (optional) In theCommandButtonLocationproperty text box, choose the location.
- (optional) In theShowCommandButtonsproperty text box, selectTrueto display the command buttons.
- (optional) In theShowStatusBarproperty text box, selectTrueto display the status bar.
- (optional) In theTouchPointerSizeproperty text box, select an option to auto-size, decrease, or increase the size of buttons.
- Close theProperty Panelwindow.
- SelectSave.
