Trace Data dialog box (TrendPro)

How do I open the Trace Data dialog box?
On the plot surface, right-click a trace and select
Trace Data
.
You can view trace data for a specific period of time, and can organize it for printing. The following options are available:
Option
Description
Time
period
Select a time period for which you want to display trace data.
Narrow/
Wide/
Sparse
Wide
Choose one of the following:
  • Narrow.
Data for each individual tag displays in separate groups, in the order in which it was retrieved.
  • Wide.
Data for all tags displays in one group, sorted by timestamp. Interpolation is used to fill data gaps, and bad quality values are displayed as '<null>'
  • Sparse
    Wide.
Data for all tags displays in one group, sorted by timestamp. No interpolation is done to fill gaps, and bad quality values are displayed as '<null>'. This is useful when working with datetime and string tags since it removes duplicate entries.
Print
across
pages
Select this check box to horizontally print trace data across multiple pages.
TIP:
Consider the following:
  • The displayed trace data respects the x-axis cursors. Data displays only for points within the cursors and the time period will show cursors.
  • Tag names are truncated if name clashes exist (i.e., two tags are named the same but belong to different items).
  • Time period tag values display a datetime, and discrete values display the associated true/false strings, if available.
You can click one of the following options:
  • Print Preview
to preview the list before sending it to the printer.
  • Print
    to print the list.
  • Save
to save the list to either a comma or tab delimited file.
