Troubleshooting: Trend chart display area is too small

Problem
The legends on either side of a trend chart display area are too large, and the chart display area is too small.
Possible solutions
To increase the chart display area of your trend chart, remove the line legend, and current value legend from the display, or shorten the amount of information included in the legends.
On the
Display
tab, do any of the following to decrease the amount of extra information included on the chart:
  • In the chart display options, clear
    Display Milliseconds
    .
  • Clear the
    Display Line Legend
     option, or shorten it:
    • clear
      Display Min/Max Values
    • change the
      Pen Caption
       to
      Short Tag Name
      , or
      Description
    • use a smaller number for the
      Maximum Pen Caption Length
       value
  • Clear any of the
    Current Value Legend
     options that you do not need. When you move the mouse pointer over data points on the chart, tooltips show the current pen values, tag names, and time.
  • Change the position of the line legend (to the left, or on the bottom)
  • Reduce the number of pens listed on the line legend (using the
    Max viewable
     option).
  • On the
    Y-Axis
     tab, change the
    Decimal Places
    option to 0.
