Troubleshooting: Range on trend chart is not as expected

Problem
The range of values shown on a trend chart is not what you expect it to be. For example, the pen's minimum, and maximum values are set up as 1 and 100, but the chart shows a range from -50 to 50.
Cause
The trend object offers a wide variety of range options, controlled by settings on the
Y-Axis
tab. The pen's minimum, and maximum values may fall outside of the specified range, or outside of the specified scale set up on the
Y-Axis
tab. It is also possible that the operator has zoomed, or panned along the y-axis.
Possible solutions
On the
Y-Axis
tab:
  • Check which
    Minimum / Maximum Value
option is selected. This option determines how the trend range is set.
  • Check which
    Scale Option
is selected. This option determines the vertical scale for the pens.
  • Select
    Undo zoom/pan
from the context menu at runtime.
