Create time periods (TrendPro)

Use time periods to analyze the same data over different time periods.
When creating a trend,
you usually select tags that are related: pump flow, speed, temperature, and pressure over a specific period of time. When plant operation is not consistent, it is useful to compare the operation of a tag, such as a pump, during normal operations against its operation during a sub-optimal period.
To create a new time period
  1. Add one or more tags to the plot surface.
  2. On the toolbar, click
    New Time Period
Trend Linked Icons PNG File Template. The
    Time
bar changes from blue to red to indicate that you can create a new time period.
  3. On the
    Time
bar, do one of the following:
    • Click the down arrow beside the first date and time entry and select the start date and time. Select an end date and time and then click
      Refresh
Trend Linked Icons PNG File Template between the two dates to refresh the trace.
    • Click the down arrow beside the Last 5 minutes entry and select a relative time period.
      Trend
creates a new trace definition using the same tags as the first time period.
