X-Axis page (TrendPro)

How do I open the X-Axis page (Properties dialog box)?
  1. On the
    Properties
    dialog box, click the
    General
    tab.
  2. In the left pane, click
    X-Axis
    .
X-axis properties allow you to define how the x-axis displays time in the current trend. The properties are applied immediately to the current trend.
TIP:
You can add a new trace or a parameter to the trend by clicking Add trace icon. Parameters accept a format of #
number
, such as #1.
The following options are available:
Property
Description
Label
The option to include in the axis label.
Click the
Use default text
checkbox to display the default time period as the label. Enter custom text after clearing the
Use default text
checkbox.
Axis
The display options for the axis. Select from the following options:
  • Click the
    Visible
    checkbox to show the axis.
  • Click the
    Show grid lines
    checkbox to show a set of grid lines at each point on the axis.
  • Click
    Font
    to modify the font style, size, and other font-related effects.
  • Click
    Line Style
    to modify the line color, style, and width.
Time axis mode
The mode used to display time periods. Select one of the following options:
  • Click
    Absolute
    for X-axis divisions to reflect the times shown on the
    Time
    bar.
  • Click
    Relative
    for X-axis divisions to reflect the period displayed in the
    Relative Mode
    box on the
    Time
    bar. The application attempts to create smart divisions depending on the relative time selected.
Tick marks
Specifies short lines along the axis line that specify value divisions. Select one of the following options:
  • In the
    Major\Major every
    box, type the number of major tick marks that display on the time axis for absolute time, or type the number of seconds between each tick mark. If you selected
    Absolute
    for the
    Time axis mode
    , entering zero results in the chart displaying three major tick marks. If you selected
    Relative
    for the
    Time axis mode
    , entering zero results in the chart displaying a major tick mark for every second.
  • In the
    Minor
    box, type the number of unlabeled value divisions along the time axis line. If you selected
    Relative
    for the
    Time axis mode
    , entering zero results in the chart displaying a minor tick mark between each major tick mark. Note that this field is not available if you selected
    Absolute
    for the
    Time axis mode
    .
