Restrict users or groups to an allow list

If you install FactoryTalk View Site Edition for the first time with the standard FactoryTalk Directory mode, the default FactoryTalk View security settings permit all users full access to FactoryTalk View Studio and created applications. The default configuration may be too permissive for your environment.

To restrict users or groups to an allow list:
  1. Remove the All Users account.
  2. Create FactoryTalk Security accounts for the users you wish to allow.
  3. Give users the appropriate security permissions.
