Add a language to a FactoryTalk View SE application
Languages are added to an application using the Add button in the General tab of the Language Configuration dialog box. The list in the General tab shows the languages that have already been added to the application.
The list of languages that can be added to the application only shows languages supported by the operating system you are working in. If the language is listed, the fonts are properly installed. The languages that are installed by default vary depending on the operating system.
TIP:
- The format for an RFC1766 identifier is:<languagecode2>-<country/regioncode2>where <languagecode2> is a lower case, two-letter code and <country/regioncode2> is an upper case, two-letter code. For example, the RFC1766 identifier for U.S. English is en-US.
- Be sure the languages that an application is to support are installed on the development and client computers. If this is not done, the user might not be able to switch languages as expected. For example, if an application has been set up to switch between English and Chinese, but Chinese is not installed on the client machine, users might not be able to enter and display Chinese strings.
Prerequisites
- Ensure the operating system supports the language
