Configure script execution timeout

Configure script execution timeout to specify how long the script will continue executing before it's automatically terminated.
With the timeout configured, scripts will keep on executing until reaching the timeout and being terminated.
TIP:
It is not recommended to configure and execute scripts within HMI server's
On shutdown macro
. The HMI server will not be shutting down until the script timeout is reached.
To configure script execution timeout
  1. Open
    FactoryTalk Administration Console
    or
    FactoryTalk View Studio
    .
  2. Navigate to
    System > Policies > Product Policies > FactoryTalk View SE > Script Settings
    .
  3. In the
    Script Execution Timeout
    box, enter a number from 0 through 999 to set the timeout in minutes. When set to 0, there is no timeout.
