Data Grid Properties dialog box

Use the dialog box to configure general settings for the data grid object. The following table shows options on the
Genera
l tab.

Setup
Select to open the
Properties
 dialog box where you configure the detailed data binding and appearance at runtime.
The
Properties
 dialog box is also available at runtime if you select the
Properties
 runtime option.
Runtime options
Select which shortcut menus are available to operators at runtime.
  • Toolbar
    Select this check box to show the toolbar.
    • If the data source is database, the toolbar includes the
      Export
      (if the
      Export
      check box is selected),
      Refresh
      ,
      Cancel
      refresh, and
      Print
       buttons. If the filter of a column is set as time period, the toolbar also includes
      Relative time period
       and
      Custom time period
       buttons.
    • If the data source is data log or the historian server (Historian SE, Historian ME, or PI Server), the toolbar includes the
      Export
      (if the
      Export
      check box is selected),
      Refresh
      ,
      Cancel
      refresh,
      Print
      ,
      Relative time period
      , and
      Custom time period
      buttons.
  • Icon Size
    Select a size for the icons on the toolbar. The icon size determines the height of the toolbar and the font size for text on the toolbar. Use larger icon sizes for touch screens.
  • Status bar
    Select this check box to show the status bar. The status bar shows the loading progress and the total number of rows that the data grid object retrieves from the data source.
  • Export
    Select this check box to show
    Export
    on the toolbar and the shortcut menu. At runtime, you can export the records shown on the data grid object to a CSV file.
  • Properties
    Select this check box to show
    Properties
    on the shortcut menu. At runtime, you can open the
    Properties
    dialog box to select the data source and change the appearance.
