The

Time Sync

view provides information related to CIP Sync time synchronization. Use the

Time Sync

view to find out which device is currently regulating system time and view information related to the CIP Sync clocks.

CIP Sync is based on IEEE 1558 standard - Precision Time Protocol (PTP). This protocol provides a standard mechanism to synchronize clocks across a network of distributed devices and defines the time synchronization object, which provides a CIP interface to the IEEE 1588 standard.

When the device is offline and CIP Sync is disabled, the settings have no values. For more information about CIP Sync, refer to publication
