Change device type or revision

Use the
Change type
 dialog to change the device type or revision.
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Overview
    .
  2. In the
    Overview
     view, select
    Device definition
    .
  3. In
    Device definition
    , select
    Change type
    .
  4. In
    Change type
    , in the
    To
     section, specify the device type and revision as needed.
    TIP:
    Changing device type will change, delete, and/or invalidate the device properties that are not valid for the new device type.
  5. Select
    OK
     to finalize the changes and exit the dialog box.
