Rate alarm
The device computes whether it can ramp to that new signal value in 35 milliseconds when these conditions occur:
- One of the ramping features is configured.
- The situation it applies to arises.
- The controller tells the device to change the output signal.
If the step is: | The device performs these operations: |
---|---|
Less than or equal to 35 milliseconds | Makes the step |
Greater than 35 milliseconds at the ramp rate | Makes 35 milliseconds worth of the change and turns on the Ramp Alarm member to indicate that it is ramping. The ramping then continues in 35 millisecond steps until the output signal reaches the value that the controller commanded. When the ramp reaches the target value, the alarm data type is reset unless Enable Rate Alarm Latching is also configured. |
