Overview view parameters (scanner mode)

The
Overview
view includes these parameters when the device is in scanner mode:
Parameter
Description
Revision
Displays the device major and minor revisions.
Electronic keying
Displays the electronic keying used for the device. Electronic keying compares the device defined in the project to the installed device. If keying fails, a fault occurs.
Valid values include:
  • Exact Match
  • Compatible Module
  • Disable Keying
For detailed information on Electronic keying, see Electronic Keying in
Logix5000
Control Systems Application Technique
, publication LOGIX-AT001.
Rack connection
Displays the connection to communicate with the I/O devices in the remote chassis.
Valid values include:
  • None
    -
Direct connection from controller to device.
Time sync and motion connection
Displays the Time Sync connection for devices that support Precision Time Protocol (PTP) synchronization.
Valid values include:
  • No
    -
Disables motion and time synchronization in the device.
  • Yes
    -
Enables motion and time synchronization in the device.
Concurrent communication
Valid values include:
  • No
    -
    Standard Forward Open.
This is the default value when
    Redundant
    is set to
    No
    .
  • Yes
    -
    Concurrent Forward Open.
This is the default value when
    Redundant
    is set to
    Chassis Pair
    .
Redundant
Indicates whether the device supports controller redundancy. Valid values include:
  • No
    - Device is not configured as a Redundant Chassis Pair (RCP).
  • Chassis Pair
    - Device is in a RCP Chassis.
Status connection
Displays the status connect for the device. Valid values include:
  • No
    -
No status connection from controller to the device.
  • Yes
    -
An input connection to the device, used to send bridge/adapter status to the controller.
Network mode
Valid values include:
  • Device Level Ring (DLR)
    - Provides a means to detect, manage, and recover from single faults in a ring-based network.
  • Parallel Redundancy Protocol (PRP)
    - Creates seamless redundancy by sending duplicate frames to two independent network infrastructures, which are known as LAN A and LAN B.
Ethernet Address Module 1
Ethernet Address Module 2
Specifies the ethernet address for Module 1 or Module 2. These two parameters are only available when the criteria are met:
  • Device is in Scanner mode.
  • Redundancy
    is set to
    Chassis Pair
    .
  • Concurrent
    is set to
    Yes
    .
