Overview view parameters (adapter mode)

The
Overview
view includes these parameters when the device is in adapter mode:
TIP:
The parameters are based on the device being configured. The parameters that do not apply to the device are hidden.
Parameter
Description
Revision
Displays the device major and minor revisions.
Electronic keying
Displays the electronic keying used for the device. Electronic keying compares the device defined in the project to the installed device. If keying fails, a fault occurs.
Valid values include:
  • Exact Match
  • Compatible Module
  • Disable Keying
For detailed information on Electronic keying, see Electronic Keying in
Logix5000
Control Systems Application Technique
, publication LOGIX-AT001.
Rack connection
Displays the connection to communicate with the I/O devices in the remote chassis.
Valid values include:
  • None
    -
Direct connection from controller to device.
  • Data - Rack Optimized
    -
Limits data to the basic status and input data to optimize the number of connections via a Rack Connection.
  • Listen Only - Data - Rack Optimized
    -
An I/O connection where another controller owns/provides the configuration data for the device. A controller using a listen only connection does not write configuration. It can only establish a connection for the device when the owner controller is actively controlling.
Time sync and motion connection
Displays the Time Sync connection for devices that support Precision Time Protocol (PTP) synchronization.
Valid values include:
  • Yes
    -
Enables motion and time synchronization in the device.
  • No
    -
Disables motion and time synchronization in the device.
Concurrent communication
Valid value includes:
  • No
    -
    Standard Forward Open.
Redundant
Indicates whether the device supports Adapter redundancy. Valid values include:
  • No
  • Adapter Pair
Status connection
Displays the status connect for the device. Valid values include:
  • No
    -
No status connection from controller to the device.
Network mode
Valid values include:
  • Device Level Ring (DLR)
  • Parallel Redundancy Protocol
    (PRP)
Chassis size
Displays the chassis size of the rack that contains the bridge device.
Valid range is from 1 through 32. The default is 17.
