The
Internet Protocol - Module
view includes these parameters:
Parameter
Description
Internet Protocol (IP) Settings
Specifies the IP settings configuration mode:
  • Manually configure IP settings
  • Obtain IP settings automatically using DHCP
  • IP settings set by switches on the device
Physical device IP address
Specifies the address used by the IP protocol to route information to and from the device.
Subnet mask
Specifies an extension of the IP address scheme that lets a site use a single net Id for multiple physical networks.
Gateway address
Specifies the gateway device address used to connect individual physical networks into a system of networks.
Primary DNS server address
Specifies the IP address for the primary DNS server that holds the master copy of the data.
Secondary DNS server address
Specifies the IP address for the secondary DNS server that holds a copy of the data in case the primary DNS is unavailable.
Domain name
Specifies the name that identifies the domain in which the device resides
Host name
Specifies the unique identification string for the device.
Refresh
Retrieves and displays the latest information from the device.
Set
Writes pending edits to the device.
Copy from Module A
Populates the IP Settings Configuration from Module A on the basis of the connection type and the IP settings configuration mode of Module B.
Copy from Module A
is only available while in Scanner mode and
Manually configure IP settings
is selected.
Copy from Module B
Populates the IP Settings Configuration from Module B on the basis of the connection type and the IP settings configuration mode of Module A.
Copy from Module B
is only available while in Scanner mode and
Manually configure IP settings
is selected.
