Change the bridge device type and revision

Use the
Change type
 dialog box to change the bridge device type or revision (for example, changing from a 1756-EN2T/A EtherNet Bridge device to a 1756-ENBT/A EtherNet Bridge device).
TIP:
The parameters are unavailable when the profile has pending edits, or when the device is online with the controller in Run mode.
  1. On the tab for the device, select
    Overview
    .
  2. In the
    Overview
     view, select
    Device definition
    .
  3. In
    Device definition
    , select
    Change type
    .
  4. In
    Change type
    , specify the device type and revision as needed.
    TIP:
    Changing the device type will change, delete, or invalidate the device properties that are not valid for the new device type.
  5. Select
    OK
     to finalize the changes and exit the dialog box.
