Perimeter Access Control (PAC) and Area Access Control (AAC) safety light curtains provide full-body access detection. These light curtains are designed to create a safety perimeter around a machine that does not require frequent interaction between personnel and the hazard during regular operation. PAC and AAC safety light curtains are typically used as opto-electronic fences to detect personnel or large objects when they pass through the sensing field.

440L Area Access Control Single Beam Sensors
Our Bulletin 440L Area Access Control Single Beam sensors provide whole-body access detection for hazardous areas. The single beam is a 24V DC through-beam opto-electronic safety switch.

440L Type 4 and 445L Safe 4 GuardShield Safety Light Curtains
Our Bulletin 440L Type 4 and 445L Safe 4 Guardshield PAC Safety Light Curtains are based on the individual safety light curtain platforms and are used for whole-body detection. They are typically positioned around an area or in front of a machine process entry or exit areas. These devices are applied in applications where a formal risk assessment has determined that the hazard poses a moderate to high risk of operator injury.
