Configure Protection Mode

Configure Protection Mode for these system components:
  • Put the primary and secondary controllers into Protection Mode by setting the physical switch to RUN on both controllers in the redundancy chassis pair.
  • Place the rotary switches on the 1756-EN4TR communication modules in the primary and secondary chassis to 900, and then follow the instructions to enable Explicit Protection Mode as described in the ControlLogix EtherNet/IP Network Devices User Manual, publication 1756-UM004.
  • The 1756-RM3 redundancy modules are automatically implicitly protected during the synchronization process and when synchronized.
