Software Installation Requirements and User Permissions

For a secure system, the following software must be installed on the same computer, and the computer must be separate from the computer that is used for control system applications:
  • FactoryTalk® Policy Manager
  • FactoryTalk® Directory
  • At least one instance of
    FactoryTalk® Linx
You must configure permissions so that all users are authenticated before they can access the software that is used to access and configure the system, including the Logix Designer application,
FactoryTalk® Linx
 software, and
ControlFLASH Plus®
 software.
