Configure a FactoryTalk Linx Gateway

Configure a
FactoryTalk® Linx™ Gateway
 by adding the device to the policy model, setting authentication credentials, and defining connection endpoints.
IMPORTANT: You can only deploy policy models to configured
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
 devices.
Install and configure the
FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
 server as follows:
  • In
    OPC UA Server
    , select
    Enable certificate management by FactoryTalk Policy Manager
    .
  • In
    OPC UA Server
    EndPoints
    FactoryTalkLinxGatewayName
    , under
    Authentication Settings
    , select
    FactoryTalk Security User
    .

  1. To configure a FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
  2. In
    FactoryTalk Policy Manager
    , add the
    FactoryTalk Linx Gateway
     device to the policy model.
    For more information, see Add a device.
  3. To authenticate with username and password, in device
    PROPERTIES
    , set
    Username
     and
    Password
    .
    TIP: The
    Anonymous
     user is selected for authentication by default.
  4. Set connection endpoints.
