Onboard a User

To onboard a user to
FactoryTalk Energy Manager
, User should have access to the
FactoryTalk Hub
 application,
FactoryTalk Energy Manager
 service and
FactoryTalk DataMosaix
 service. FTEM-Editor role should be assigned in the
FactoryTalk DataMosaix
.
Prerequisites:
  • Ensure to have a MyRockwell account.
    NOTE:
    Your MyRockwell Account uses the same credentials as the Knowledge base and the Commerce Portal.
Invite Users to FactoryTalk Hub Organization
NOTE:
As an Organization Administrator, there are two ways to invite a user to your organization:
Perform the following steps to invite a user:
  1. On the FactoryTalk Hub application, open the left pane.
  2. Click
    Manage user access
    .
  3. The
    Mange User Access
     page is displayed. From the top right corner, click
    Invite Users
    .
    The
    Send invites
     page is displayed.
  4. Admin can send invitation in either of these two ways:
    • Option 1
      : Invite by email:
      1. Under the
        Resource
         dropdown, select
        Service: FactoryTalk Energy Manager
        .
      2. Under the
        Role
         dropdown, select a role (Admin/Contributor).
      3. Provide the email address of the user.
      4. Click
        Sent Invites
        . The “
        Invite sent
        ” message is displayed.
        Send Invites
      5. Once the invited user receives the invitation via email, he has to click
        Join now
         to accept the invite.
        IMPORTANT:
        Ensure that the user accept the invitation within 5 days, else the invitation expires.
    • Option 2
      : Join organization via link:
      Join Organization
      1. Under the
        Join organization link
        , copy the link and send it to the user.
      2. Once the user receives the invitation through the shared link, open the link in browser.
      3. Click
        Sign in
         and sign in with MyRockwell account.
      4. On the Join Organization page, click
        Request to join
         to join the organization.
    NOTE:
    The Organization Administrator will review the request to approve. Once approved and the appropriate roles are assigned, the user can access FactoryTalk Hub and FactoryTalk Energy Manager applications.
