Edit a rules file

In
FactoryTalk Design Studio
, you cannot edit the rules files generated by the AI Agent directly. To edit the rules file, prompt the AI Agent to change, add, or remove rules. Changes to rules files take effect on your next message to the AI Agent.
  1. In the
    AI Agent
     explorer, select
    AI Agent session
    .
  2. In
    AI Agent Session
    , prompt the AI Agent to update the rules file. For example,
    • Update rules.md to require Structured Text for math-heavy routines
    • Remove the OTL/OTU rule
    • Add a rule that all tag names start with the area code
    • Delete the rules.md file
