Safety controller and partners

The relationship of Safety controller and partners is specified by the firmware kits. When flashing Safety controller and its partners together,
ControlFLASH Plus
 will identify their relationship and automatically change the partners' firmware revisions to make them compatible with safety controller's. The safety controller 1756-L84ES and its partner 1756-L8SP are taken as an example to illustrate the rules:
  • When the safety controller 1756-L84ES is selected, the checkbox of its partner 1756-L8SP will be automatically selected and disabled and the revision in the
    Flash To
     column will be changed as the safety controller's.
  • When the checkbox of safety controller 1756-L84ES is cleared, the revision of its partner 1756-L8SP will revert to its previous revision, and you can also select other revisions as needed.
