, use the
Events
 view to configure the user-defined data to include when an event occurs on the device.
TIP:
  • To configure the events parameters, set
    Connection
     in
    Device definition
     to
    Data with Events
    .
  • The event parameters are unavailable when
    Connection
     in
    Device definition
     is set to
    Listen Only
     or
    Data
    .
  • You must use a
    Listen Only with Events
     connection if the device is configured with a
    Data with Events
     connection. If you configure a
    Listen Only
     connection which doesn't support events and the device is configured with a Data with Events connection by another controller, the software may display the message:
    (Code 16#0108) Connection Request Error: Connection type (Multicast/Unicast) not supported.
