Parameter
Description
Use RTB CJC
Determines whether it is required to use RTB CJC:
  • If this checkbox is selected, CJ and main channels are faulted when RTB with CJC is not detected.
  • If this checkbox is not selected,
    • An RTB cold junction compensation is used when RTB with CJC is detected.
    • Onboard cold junction compensation (lower accuracy) is used when RTB with CJC is not detected.
IMPORTANT: This setting only takes effect when the input type is Thermocouple, Disable Compensation is not set and Remote Cold Junction Channel is not selected.
Cold Junction Channel
Displays the channel numbers that can be configured.
If the channel Input Type is Thermocouple and Sensor Type is other than mV, the CJChxx row gets enabled. Otherwise, this row is disabled.
Disable Compensation
Determines whether cold junction compensation for the channel is disabled.
If the checkbox is selected, the rest of the row is disabled.
Sensor Offset
Offset added directly to the measured CJ temperature. Used to compensate for cold junction temperature sensor error.
Remote Cold Junction Channel
Determines which main channel to be used as a remote cold junction channel for this channel.
  • None = No main channel is selected as a remote cold junction channel. The type of cold junction compensation to use is dependent on Use RTB CJC parameter.
  • 0x = Uses Channel 0x as a remote cold junction channel for cold junction compensation.
Diagnostics
Accesses the Diagnostics dialog, which contains diagnostics information for the channel.
