Chxx view parameters (5034-OF4)
The
Chxx
view includes these parameters:Parameter | Description |
|---|---|
Disable Channel | Determines whether the channel is disabled. Disable channels to prevent erroneous
fault reporting, such as No Load or Open Wire faults, and to prevent the fault
indication from the channel status indicator. |
Output Type | Sets the output type for the channel. Available options are:
|
Output Range | Sets the output range for the output type. Ranges vary based on the selected
Output Type. |
Channel Offset | To compensate for any error in actuator operation, the module allows an offset to
be added to the output channel value sent from the controller. Values are entered
in Engineering Units (EU). The default value for the channel offset is 0.0. |
Hold for Initialization | When set, configures the channel to hold, or not change, until initialized with a
value within 0.1% of full scale of its current value when one of the following
conditions occurs.
|
Enable No Load Detection | Enables the detection of whether a load has been disconnected.
IMPORTANT:
This option is available only if the Input Type is Current. |
High Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Signal is in terms
of the input signal units and corresponds to High Engineering when scaled. |
Low Signal | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Signal is in terms of
the input signal units and corresponds to Low Engineering when scaled. |
Engineering Units | Sets the unit of measurement for High Engineering and Low Engineering. |
High Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. High Engineering
corresponds to High Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the
signal values scale into. |
Low Engineering | Sets one of the four constants in the scaling equation. Low Engineering
corresponds to Low Signal and helps determine the engineering units that the
signal values scale into. |
Recalculate Units | Recalculates new values to the following configuration parameters in Engineering
Units based on the new Scaling constants.
TIP:
This option is enabled when any of the four
Scaling constants is changed.
|
Output State in Program Mode | Determines channel action when the controller transitions to Program Mode or
Inhibit mode.
|
When Communication Fails in Program Mode |
|
Output State in Communication Fault Mode | Determines channel action when a communication fault occurs.
|
Communication Fault State Duration | Determines the length of time the FaultValue value is held before the
FinalFaultState. |
Final Communication Fault State Value | Defines the value, in Engineering Units, to which the output goes after the
Communication Fault State Duration time expires. |
Diagnostics | Accesses the Diagnostics dialog, which contains diagnostics information for the
channel. |
