Description
Series
Displays the series of the device.
Revision
Displays the major and minor revisions of the device.
Electronic keying
Displays the electronic keying used for the device as
Exact Match
,
Compatible Module
, or
Disable Keying
. Electronic keying compares the device defined in the project to the installed device. If keying fails, a fault occurs.
Channel Mode Assignment
Displays the Channel Mode Assignment method used for the device. Possible values include:
  • User-Selectable
    – Supports the full Highly-integrated IO-Link feature
  • Predefined with Generic IO-Link
    – Simplified IO-Link support. Generic IO-Link data is available through the IO-Link master connection.
    You cannot add IO-Link devices in the I/O tree and IO-Link device parameter configuration is not supported.
    You must select this option if you want to configure the Connection as Listen Only.
Predefined with Generic IO-Link
is only available when you select Major Revision 3 in the Device Definition dialog. If you select Major Revision 1 or 2, then
User-Selectable
is the only method for Channel Mode Assignment.
Connection
Displays the connection format for the device.
Device definition
Opens the dialog to change the device-specific parameters.
