Field Interface
- Inputs: 16 Channels (1 group of 16), sourcing.
- You can use this module to operate as an event counter, a pulse counter, and for pulse width measurement. With appropriate firmware, a pattern recognition may be implemented to trigger an event alarm.
- You can set filter time to reduce the effect of signal noise, with a corresponding reduction in the maximum measured rate of change at the input. The resulting improvement in noise immunity in a signal also helps to prevent rapid changes of the input data due to contact bounce.
- You can timestamp data.
- Voltage and current ratings: Module power minimum is 1.3 W, 55 mA at 24 VDC Module input inrush is 1.3 A, max. (Decays to nominal limit in less than 50 ms); Module current/power is 80 mA max., at 18-32 VDC, 4 W maximum. (16 channels at 5 mA per channel); Module current passthrough maximum is 9.55 A at 18…32 VDC; SA power passthrough, maximum is 9.55 A at 18…32 VDC.
NOTE:
Do not exceed 10 A Module or SA power (passthrough) current draw.- Overvoltage and current limiting protection
- Terminal blocks, cables and accessories are available separately.
- Standard 18-pin removable terminal block; 5069-RTB18-SPRING removable terminal block or 5069-RTB18-SCREW removable terminal block; ordered from Rockwell Automation; RTB mechanical keying.
- Support from Studio 5000 programming software for installation and operation.
- Refer to the module’s "User’s Manual" for recommended solid or twisted-pair cable and complete wiring recommendations and considerations.
