Configuration

Add-on-Profile (AOP)
The module interface to the Logix controller is configured through a custom, separately-installable Add-on-Profile within RSLogix5000 Software. When a module from the RSLogix5000 Select Module dialog is added to the project tree, the following items are created in the project:
  • Custom Module-Defined Data Types and corresponding Input and Output tags.
  • A producer/consumer IO connection using the module’s specific IO assemblies and sizes.
Other Types of Configuration
Note: Refer to the Remote Access Control manual for a detailed explanation of the following methods.
IP Configuration
The Windows DOS utility, IPCONFIG/ALL, can be used to display the IP address of the host computer. The first three groups of numbers in the IP address and the Subnet mask should be the same as on the remote access A/C module.
Ping Test
The Windows DOS command, "PING (address of target)”, can be used to check if the remote access A/C module is responding on the network at the expected address.
Pentair A/C Monitor Application
The IP address and other parameters of remote access A/C are configured using the Pentair A/C Monitor application with communication through USB or Ethernet. More details can be found in the Remote Access Control manual.
