Overview
view includes these parameters:
Definition
Parameter
Description
Vendor
Displays the vendor of the device being configured.
Product type
Displays the type of the device being configured.
Product code
Displays the product code of the device.
Revision
Displays the device firmware revision level. The major revision is used to indicate the revision of the interface to the device. Valid values are in the range from 1 through 127.
Electronic keying
Displays the setting for electronic keying. Reduces the possibility of using the wrong device in a control system. The valid values are:
  • Exact Match
  • Compatible Module
Connection
Displays the setting for connection. The valid values are:
  • Standard
  • Standard with Status
  • Safety
  • Safety and Standard
  • Safety and Standard with Status
Input data
Displays the type of input data for the device. Available options depend on the device type.
Output data
Displays the type of output data for the device. Available options depend on the device type.
Data format
Displays the type of data exchanged between the parent and the device. Available options depend on the device type.

Opens
Device definition
to change the revision, electronic keying, and other device specific values.
Safety
Parameter
Description
Safety network number
Specifies the number used to prevent the acceptance of connection requests that have been misdirected by an intervening bridge device. Safety devices connected to the same bridge device do not need to be on the same safety network; they may have different safety network numbers. This field appears shaded in the Run, Safety Locked, and Safety Signature modes. The valid values are:
  • Time-based
    : The safety network number is generated based on the creation date and time (to the millisecond) of the device.
  • Manual
    : Enter a number from 1 through 9999 per network type.
