Axis On and Off State

The stepper module supports turning on and turning off an individual axis using the tag O.Axisxx.Enable.

The stepper module energizes the motor when the axis is enabled (powered on) and de-energizes the motor when the axis is disabled (powered off).

When the axis is enabled (powered on), hold current is applied when stationary. When the axis is disabled (powered off), you can choose to apply a brake using an external output (see Motor Brake for details).
