Set the Network Address with the DeviceTools Application

Download and install the DeviceTools application for both Android and iOS devices to set the network address of the PointMax EtherNet/IP adapter using NFC. For more information on using the DeviceTools application, see rok.auto/devicetools.
  1. From Apple App Store® or from Google Play™, search for and install the free DeviceTools app by Rockwell Automation.
    TIP:
    Icons and branding are subject to change. For the current icon and publisher information, see the store listing.
    If your phone or operating system version is not compatible, the application does not download. Check the store listing for supported device and operating system versions.
  2. After installation, launch the application and follow on‑screen prompts. You can adjust language and appearance in
    Settings
    .
To adjust the network address switches, do the following:
  1. Open the DeviceTools application on a supported iOS or Android device.
  2. Hold the device to the NFC logo on the front of the adapter.
  3. When the scan completes, the application displays the read/write options available for the adapter’s current state, including IP configuration and device status.
  4. Follow the prompts in the DeviceTools application to set the network address to a valid value from 001…254.
  5. Restart the adapter.
