Add a data set descriptor

Use the
DNP3 Data Set Descriptor
 configuration page to add, edit, or delete data set descriptors.
Prerequisites
  • Select
    DNP3 slave
     as the drive.
To add a data set descriptor
  1. In the
    Controller
     tree, expand
    DNP3 Slave
    , and then select
    DNP3 Data Set Descriptor
    .
  2. On the
    DNP3 Data Set Descriptor
     page, select
    New DS
    .
  3. Under
    DS<x>
    , select
    Add
    .
    x
     is the index number of the data set you just added.
  4. In
    DS<x>
    , configure the settings as needed, and then select
    Add
    .
  5. (optional) Select
    Enable event
     to configure event settings.
    TIP:
    • To edit a data set descriptor, select the data set descriptor, and then select
      Edit
      .
    • To delete a data set descriptor, select the data set descriptor, and then select
      Delete
      .
