Assign variables

Use the variable selector to assign an existing variable to a Program Organization Unit (POU) element of a ladder diagram (LD) or function block diagram (FBD) program.
Prerequisites
To assign variables
  1. In
    Project Organizer
    , locate the POU, and then double-click the POU.
  2. Open the variable selector by doing one of the following:
    • Double-click the variable, and then select Variable selector drop-down.
    • Right-click the variable, and then select
      Select variable
      .
  3. Select a variable to assign by doing one of the following:
    • Select the variable, and then select
      Select
      .
    • Double-click the variable.
