Bit definitions for the 2085-OF4 expansion module

The following table introduces the bit definitions for the 2085-OF4 expansion module.
Bit definition for the 2085-OF4 expansion module
Item
Description
CRC
CRC error
Indicates a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) error in received data. It is cleared upon the receipt of valid data.
All channel fault bits (S
<x>
) are set.
E
<x>
Error
Indicates that there is a Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) hardware error or a broken wire or high load resistance that is associated with the channel.
An error code might display on one of the input words from 0 through 3.
The channel is turned off until a CE
<x>
bit is written during the
Run
mode to clear the DAC hardware error bits.
GF
General Fault
The bit is set (1) when the following faults occur:
  • Random Access Memory test failure
  • Read-only memory test failure
  • Electrically erasable programmable read-only memory failure
  • Reserved bits
All channel fault bits (S
<x>
) are set.
O
<x>
Over-Range Flag
Indicates that the controller is attempting to drive the analog output above its regular operating range or above the channel's high clamp level.
If the clamp levels are not set for the channel, the module continues to convert analog output data to a maximum full range value.
PU
Power Up
Indicates that an unexpected MCU reset has occurred during
Run
mode. All channel error bits (E
<x>
) and fault bits (S
<x>
) are set. The module stays connected, yet it operates without configuration data.
The PU and channel fault bits are cleared upon downloading a valid configuration.
S
<x>
Channel Fault
Indicates that there is an error that is associated with the channel.
U
<x>
Underrange Flag
Indicates that the controller is attempting to drive the analog output below the regular operating range or below the channel's specified low clamp level.
