Bit definitions for 2085-IRT4
The following table introduces the bit definitions for the 2085-IRT4 status values.
Item | Description | |
---|---|---|
CJC OC | Cold Junction Compensation Open Circuit | Indicates that the cold junction sensor is open-circuit. |
CJC DE | Cold Junction Compensation Data Error | When set, indicates the cold junction sensor current reading is not reliable. The previous reading is used instead. It indicates internal compensation status if T <x> is set. |
CJC over | Cold Junction Compensation overrange | Indicates that the cold junction sensor is overrange. |
CJC under | Cold Junction Compensation underrange | Indicates that the cold junction sensor is underrange. |
CRC | CRC error | Indicates that there is a Cyclic Redundancy Check (CRC) error on the data received. It is cleared when valid data is received. All channel fault bits (S <x> ) are also set. |
DE <x> | Data Error | Indicates that the current input data is not reliable. The previous input data is sent to the controller instead. |
GF | General Fault | Indicates that a fault has occurred. For example: RAM test failure, ROM test failure, EEPROM failure, and reserved bits. All channel fault bits (S <x> ) are set. |
OC <x> | Open-Circuit Flag | Indicates an open-circuit condition exists on channel <x> . |
O <x> | Over-Range Flag | Indicates the input of channel <x> is at the maximum of its normal operating range. The module automatically resets the bit when the data value falls below the maximum for the range. |
PU | Power Up | Indicates that an unexpected MCU reset has occurred when in RUN mode. All channel error bits (E <x> ) and fault bits (S<x> ) are set. The module remains connected but without configuration data. The PU and channel fault bits are cleared after you download a valid configuration. |
R x | RTD compensation | Indicates the Resistance Temperature Detector (RTD) compensation of channel <x> is not functioning. Only used for RTD and ohm types. |
S x | Channel Fault | Indicates that there is an error associated with channel <x> . |
T x | Thermocouple compensation | Indicates the thermocouple compensation of channel <x> is not functioning. Only used for thermocouple types. |
U x | Underrange | Indicates the input of channel <x> is at the minimum end of its normal operating range. The module automatically resets the bit when the underrange condition is cleared and the data value is within the normal operating range. |
