I/O Fault Codes

The controller indicates I/O faults on the status display in one of these formats:
  • I/O Fault Local:
    X #XXXX message
  • I/O Fault
    ModuleName #XXXX message
  • I/O Fault
    ModuleParent:X #XXXX message
The first part of the format is used to indicate the location of the module with a fault. How the location is indicated depends on your I/O configuration and the properties of the module that are specified in the
Studio 5000 Logix Designer®
application.
The latter part of the format, #XXXX message, can be used to diagnose the type of I/O fault and potential corrective actions.
