Change General Logix Designer Application Display Preferences
You can configure the application display to suit your work preferences, improving performance and efficiency. Use the display settings to show or hide the Localized Translation Viewer and to set the character per width and text justification in the tag and user-defined data type descriptions.
To change the application display preferences:
- From theToolsmenu, chooseOptionsto open theWorkstation Optionsdialog box.
- Click theApplication>Displaycategory.
- Select theShow Full Dragcheck box if you want to display a picture of the object you are dragging.If you select this option, when you drag an object (for example, rung, branch, instruction, or operand), the editor displays a picture of what is being dragged. When this option is cleared, the editor simply displays the normal dragging cursor.
- Select theFade Inactive Windowscheck box if you want inactive windows in the Logix Designer application to have a faded appearance.
- Select theShow Localized Documentation Viewercheck box to display theLocalized Documentation Viewer. Clear the check box and the Localized Documentation Viewer does not display.
- Under theTag and User Defined Type Description Displayheading, configure the following parameters:
- InTag Description Display Width, enter the number of characters you wish to use per line in your tag descriptions.Valid values range from 10 through 40 characters. Setting this value ensures that the number of characters on each line remains constant, no matter where it is displayed. This can be useful if you are copying your tag descriptions into other applications.
- InTag Description Display Justification, choose whether you would like your tag descriptions to be center-, left-, or right-aligned.
- SelectShow Task Period after Periodic Taskto display the period, or the rate at which the task executes, under each periodic task in theController Organizer
- ClickOKto accept your changes and close theWorkstation Optionsdialog box, orApplyto apply the changes you made on this tab and continue editing.
