Export a schedule
Use the
Export
tab of the Import Export Manager
to export objects (instances) and parameter values to a schedule file. Schedules are primarily used for backup and recovery. Verify that the correct database name displays in the ACM title bar before starting the export process.To export a schedule
- ClickTOOLS > Import Export Manager. The most recently used project opens by default.
- To choose a different project to export, clickFILE > Openand then select the project from the list.
- Click theExporttab.
- Configure the scope of the schedule:
- All ProjectsUse to export all projects in the connected ACM database.
- Complete ProjectUse to export the currently specified project.
- PartialTIP: For Batch projects, thePartialoption is not applicable.Use to export only specific objects and parameter values. UnderType, choose eitherController,Hardware,Object, orLibrary, then specify the controller and instance to export.
- (optional) Limit the content (for example, Device List and Device Interlocks) of the schedule by selecting theUse Templatecheckbox. Under theTypecategory, the following options are available:
- ChooseLocalto limit the schedule to locally available devices.
- ChooseProjectto limit the schedule to only those devices used in the project being exported.
- ChooseGlobalto include all devices in the library.
- (optional) SelectShow Modifiedto color code "changed" (not equal to default) and "unchanged" (equal to default) parameter values.
- (optional) SelectExport Used Librariesto include the libraries in the schedule.
- ClickExport.
- Enter a path and file name in theSave Asdialog.
- ClickSaveto save the schedule as an Excel Workbook (*.xlsx) file.
- If there is an error or warning, the log file entries are displayed when the export is complete.TIP:Errors, warnings, info, and debug information are displayed by default. Filter the list of exceptions by clickingErrors,Warnings,Info, and/orDebug.Clicking theShow Log Filecommand will display the contents of the most recent ACM log file.ClickFinishto return to theImport Export Manager.If you see an Excel sensitivity label error message while exporting a schedule, open Excel and configure the sensitivity label. If the error message persists, contact your organization's IT department for assistance.
- ClickFinishto close theImport Export Manager.
