Menu bar - DDE/OPC

Topic Configuration

- Creates and modifies a DDE/OPC topic, which is a specific path to a processor. You can also click the Topic Configuration toolbar button to display the DDE/OPC Topic Configuration dialog box.

Alias Topic Configuration

- Creates a "virtual" or "redundant" topic that you can use to reference other topics.

Active Topics/Items

- Displays a window with the topic name and item description for each active DDE topic.

Communication Events

- Displays information on any DDE error messages logged while running RSLinx Classic with DDE compliant programs.

Optimized Packets

- Displays the optimized network traffic for all DDE Topics.

Server Diagnostics

- Displays RSLinx Classic diagnostic information when DDE links exist.

DDE Client Diagnostics

- Displays diagnostic information for the client application that contains DDE links to RSLinx Classic.

OPC Group Diagnostics

- Displays diagnostic information for RSLinx Classic and the client application that contains DDE links to RSLinx Classic.

Update ControlLogix Tag Info

- Displays a list of current DDE/OPC ControlLogix topics and provides the ability to merge new tags into the list.

Options

- Selects RSLinx Classic settings such as toggling the Status Bar and running RSLinx Classic as a service.
