View 1756-ENET port diagnostics
If you select an Ethernet module, select the
Port Diagnostics
tab to view information about the module's Ethernet port. The Port Diagnostic
tab provides the following information about your 1756-ENET module:Diagnostic Counter | Description |
In Octets | Number of octets received by the module. |
Out Octets | Number of octets sent by the module. |
In Packets | Number of packets received by the module. |
Out Packets | Number of packets sent by the module. |
Alignment Errors | Number of frames received that are not an integral number of octets in length. |
FCS Errors | Number of frames received that do not pass the FCS check. |
Single Collisions | Number of successfully transmitted frames that experienced exactly one collision. |
Multiple Collisions | Number of successfully transmitted frames that experienced more than one collision. |
SQE Test Errors | Number of times that the SQE TEST ERROR message is generated. |
Deferred Transmissions | Number of frames for which the first transmission attempt is delayed because the medium is busy. |
Late Collisions | Number of times that a collision is detected later than 512 bit-times into the transmission of a packet. |
Excessive Collisions | Number of frames for which transmission fails due to excessive collisions. |
MAC Transmit Errors | Number of frames for which transmission fails due to an internal MAC sublayer transmit error. |
Carrier Sense Errors | Number of times that the carrier sense condition was lost or never asserted when attempting to transmit a frame. |
Frame Too Long | Number of frames received that exceed the maximum permitted frame size. |
MAC Receive Errors | Number of frames for which reception on an interface fails due to an internal MAC sublayer receive error. |
