Virtual Backplane diagnostics
Diagnostic counters are available by right-clicking the station in the RSWho window. Driver diagnostics are found under the General, Performance, and Virtual Backplane tabs in the tabbed dialog. Driver diagnostics are modeless; therefore, they can remain on the desktop if you minimize RSLinx Classic. The following is the list of diagnostic counters shown and the definition of each.
General Tab | |

Unconnected requests sent | Total number of unconnected requests sent to or through the virtual backplane. |
Unconnected responses sent | Total number of unconnected responses from the RSLinx Classic engine that were returned to the virtual backplane in response to unconnected requests. This number should equal Unconnected requests received, but will lag behind by a few packets because replies are not returned yet. |
Connected packets sent | Total number of connected packets sent to or through the virtual backplane. |
Unsendable packets | Total number of packets that were unable to be sent to or through the virtual backplane. |
Sends failed | Total number of failed sent packets. |
Unconnected requests received | Total number of unconnected requests received from the virtual backplane that were forwarded to the RSLinx Classic engine. |
Unconnected responses received | Total number of unconnected responses from the virtual backplane that were returned to the RSLinx Classic engine in response to unconnected requests sent. This number should equal Unconnected requests sent, but will lag behind by a few packets because replies are not returned yet. |
Connected packets received | Total number of connected packets received from the virtual backplane and forwarded to the RSLinx Classic engine. |
Unrecognized receipts | Total number of unrecognized receipts. |

Packets received/second | Total packets received (solicited and unsolicited) per second by user-mode driver. |

Untraceable packets | Total number of untraceable packets through the virtual backplane. |
