Configure the 1771-SDN Pass Through driver

To configure the 1771-SDN pass through driver, follow these steps:
  1. Select the port number to associate with this pass through route configuration (Port 1, Port 2, Port 3, or Port 4).
    IMPORTANT: If you already have a configured Port, do not configure an identical route across a different Port, as this may cause communication errors between the software and the 1771-SDN.
  2. Use the RSWho browser to find the PLC-5, through which the 1771-SDN can be accessed.
  3. Enter the 1771-SDN Backplane Address Configuration in the Rack, Group, and Slot lists.
    IMPORTANT: You need to verify whether the backplane address configuration is accurate. The software cannot automatically verify this information and invalid information may cause control system errors to occur. Errors may result in damage to machinery or severe bo
  4. Select the 1771-SDN channel that you want to use to attach to DeviceNet (Channel 1 or Channel 2).
  5. Specify a Block Transfer to PLC-5 response timeout values.
